This bowl is part of a series of female nude pieces exploring both physical and emotional vulnerabilities in the context of long term relationships. It is a goal of mine to become more languorous; taking the time to relax, dream and contemplate.
This bowl was constructed with Bullseye art glas; meticulously hand cut, ground and assembled then kiln fired to fuse the individual pieces into one sheet of glass, then kiln fired again to slump into an elegant platter. It is 15" long, 6" wide and 1.5" deep.
The figure is composed of deep ocher and warm brown set against a subltly irridized gray with pale gold circles. The edges are accented with deep red and black.
Each of my vessels is a one-of-a-kind, original work of art.
