The Rose is the state flower of New York. I started with a digital pic I took in downtown Winter Park. Then, I experimented with Photoshop Elements and my WACOM tablet to create a digital painting. After projecting and tracing the image outline on canvas, I then used the digital pic as a model for the large scale canvas version.
