Sunflower - Kansas State Flower. This painting was used to teach one of my watercolor classes. Key elements in this class were 1) Building of colors/values utilizing the glazing technique, 2) The use of salt to create texture, 3) Pulling your color with water to create a soft edge, and 4) Saving the white to suggest sunlight.
