The Hibisicus is the state flower of Hawaii. I started with a digital pic I took in my neighborhood. After digital alterations and painting with my WACOM tablet and Photoshop Elements, I printed an outline onto watercolor paper, and filled in the colors with watercolor pencils and acrylic paint squeezed through a narrow tipped applicator.
