This spectacular exploit of Rhododendrum blossoms caught my eye, and the rest of me actually, while I was walking my pups, early in the morning, last Summer. I had never seen anything like it! And what you see here is just one of many, many more perfect blooms that were practically hiding away the lower half of an entire house wall, including the entrance to a garage. I must have spent half an hour, trying to photograph most of them. I couldn't get enough! It turns out that this is an Azalea, or Rhododendrum, which is the Georgia State Flower and, in Hanakotoba, the language of flowers, it means "patient/modest". I thought it was a rather flamboyant beauty, but that's just me!
