Orchid Tree This is a painting of a orchids in a tree. I know that orchids do not grow from tree, but they can grow on a tree as I saw many times in Maui. This is a representational abstract of Catlleyla orchids of many metallic and iridescent petals growing on bronze bark. The colors are all warm and translucent to let the deep carbon background show through. The dragonflies are painted in metallic gold and rise from the flat canvas.
