This mourning rag doll was created out vintage linen fabric. I cut my own pattern that I use for my mourning dolls, but each face is originally painted in acrylics on the pale linen fabric. Her name is Mourning Victoria Prim and she is dressed in ripped old Victorian silk clothes. Her shoes are painted on with acrylic paint. She comes with a vintage onyx locket for holding cut locks from the deceased or for a tiny photo of the recently passed. Mourning Victoria Prim also comes with a black veil. This doll was completed in sections that took me a few days. I have included photos of the homemade rag doll experience.
