Prospectus

Dolls and puppets have much in common. Both are representations of something else. Both have been a part of human culture since ancient times. Dolls are thought to be the first toy. They have been used to represent gods, goddess and totems. Puppets have been used for communication, entertainment and religious purposes. Both are brought to life and given meaning through the minds and imagination of people.

All entries must be three dimensional. Puppets must be functional as such. Any and all materials may be used to create your doll or puppet. Be sure to tell us what you used to create you entry and how you did it. This artist’s statement is required, so please don’t leave it out. As texture or other small elements may be pivotal to your piece, please include any necessary detail shots. All points of the prospectus should be met. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to edu@ebsqart.com.
