Art: Two-faced Tilly (a two-sided doll) by Artist Shawn Marie Hardy
There is something going on in the buroughs of Wigithope and the neighboring Smallishville. Each place has it's own princess. There is Tilly of Wigithope, and Tilly of Smallishville. What the townspeople don't know is that Tilly of Wigithope and Tilly of Smallishville are one and the same.

Rumor has it that the two towns have been feuding over who will rule the entire region, the insects of Smallishville or the reptiles of Wigithope. Each burrough has a princess who is supposed to be lobbying around the countryside, but guess what? Two-faced Tilly has decided to try and make peace and the only way she could firgue out how to do was to work both sides in hopes that she could bring them together peacefully.

It has been working so far: Tilly of Wigithope has the throne on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with mornings on Wednesdays and Tilly of Smallishville takes the throne on Mondays and Fridays with afternoons on Wednesdays. On the weekend the throne is just a decoration and is known to be used occasionally by a small group of squirrels who run the local theater.

We must all keep our fingers crossed that this has a happy ending.

Tilly was made from lots of found objects and her faces and hands were created with polymer clay, baked, sanded, then painted. Her hair is made of a lovely soft fiber, crown is a metal embellishment, her body is a vintage watch face. Her legs are shells and I constructed pants using gold-trimmed tulle. Lots of other little bits, beads, & baubles make up her outfit and her throne is made from wire and brass leaves, beads, and fibers. On one side she's Tilly - turn her over and she's.....well......Tilly. A two-faced doll.
