- Juniper Cedar and Holly Wood Box
This piece is made of Juniper (Cedar) wood with a Holly lid. The vessel wall is 3/16", the foot is a 1.75" diameter and gives it a 1/16" lift. These woods turn easily and this smooth easy-flowing design is a delight to hold. I gave the Holly lid a loose fit so as to be easily removed, like on a sugar bowl. You can smell that great Cedar aroma when you lift the lid. Sanded to 600 grit, coated with food-safe Deft sanding sealer and buffed on the three-wheel Beal system with Carnauba wax for a long lasting polished finish.
