This painting is to mark our holidays in France, when our family explores the countryside, slowly travelling down to the South staying in a different Hotel or Auberge every day. Although we often have the croissants and coffee for breakfast in England, the Gitanes are not ours, and in the painting they serve only to note the French penchant for strong cigarettes!
