These precious little earrings are made using the traditional batik wax and dye process on a turkey shell, cutout and then sanded and coated front and back with several layers of a special crystal clear polymer finish to give them strength and durability. (This is the same finish often used on countertops to seal coins, bills and other memorabilia into the surface.) The shell pieces measure 1 1/4" diameter.
The findings are handcrafted sterling silver in a lovely French style earwire (ear hook) handmade by a fellow Etsian. Their high quality boasts carefully rounded ends, soft to the touch, lightly hammered to give strength and aesthetic appeal and polishing for a glowing shine.
Packaged in a gold foil box and red ribbon ready for gift giving. As a little piece of artwork in it's ownright, your pendant is signed by me, the artist, and comes with a digital COA (EBSQ Certificate of Ownership) to register your piece once you receive it.
