"A unique Tasmanian train of kites lofts into the cool, crisp sea air at a recent festival on the west coast of Washington State.".
Artist comment: "At the Washington State International Kite Festival, kite makers and flyers come from all around the world to participate in the activities. Here we see a delightful train of kites made by and flown by Robert Brasington from Tasmania. The unusual kites stretched up into a beautiful blue sky and danced in the breeze. In my studio later, I sketched the kites on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. I began with the sky, carefully blending blues, then doing the cloud bank. The icing-on-the-cake was painting the rainbow colored kites with their gossamer tails."
