Artist comment: "Dark at the ocean is seldom pitch black, but often enough light lingers to create a blue glow. Here I captured the spirit of the hearty clam hunters who enjoy the season when the lowest tides are after the sun is long gone. I was intrigued by the glow of bright lanterns and their reflections on the wet sand. I used soft pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes textured paper working from dark to light. It was fun to show the figures with the glow of the lights and someone's dog sporting it's own red lamp."
