Raven actually used to be white, but while trying to steal the light so that the humans could see got stuck in the smoke hole of the lodge of Grandfather Sky and the smoke caused Raven's feathers to turn black
My daughter told me this story after a Haida native told it to her. I loved it and knew I had to paint the white raven.
Original one of a kind acrylic painting on masonite panel, not a print or copy. Abstract background. Signed and dated on front, signed, dated and titled on back.
