This piece is an entry for the annual EBSQ "Ripped Off" showfor 2005. The original is Kelli Dubay's "Retenue" which is french for Self Control. In this piece, I tried to capture the feel of her piece using color. The hot color in the background represents the turmoil all around the subject, while the subject remains calm. In her eyes I see power. Reserved power. The piece is mounted onto a 2 inch deep wooden frame and is painted on the sides so there's no need for a frame. It's ready to hang.
