Peter Max and the Beatles were strong influences when I was growing up, later on it was Dali, Warhol and Haring. Lately it's been Renaissance artists and the Dutch Masters. I'm still being shaped by today's emerging artists, many of whom have been mentors to me.

Whether it's oil painting, assemblage, mixed media or encaustic work, I feel that when I get inspired, it's an obsession. A friend once told me that anything that I find worthwhile, I tend to do it to the extreme. I'd say that's partly right.

I was born in Scotland, grew up in NYC, and although I was raised in the US, many influences came from the old world. The cultural differences between Europe and the US have shaped my personality. Now that I live in Arizona, all sorts of cultural influences are inspiring me.

My art is collected in several countries throughout the world, and has been seen in the Phoenix Art Museum.
