A book drove the theme of this chair: Esquire's Manual for Hosts", circa 1949. It's a hoot. Took illustrations from the book and credited the artist under the table. It's solid oak and the book (and a martini glass!) comes with the chair. (Update: This table is at The Flying Pig in Algoma, WI. They have a ghost there who hates faces. One day customers were sitting next to this table and the martini glass flew off it and shattered. The customers swore they didn't touch it. Apparently, the ghost didn't like my faces.)
