This unique woodland fairy pig started out as a plain ceramic piggy bank. It was then altered around the face and ears with styrofoam cut to shape and chenille stems, which were in turn covered with masking tape as was the entire pig. Then layers of mint green paper were adhered to cover the pig. the eyes were painted with acrylic paint and the eyelids are primed and painted canvas. The eyelashes are leftover from a Halloween costume. The lips were formed from air dry modeling clay and painted. The leaves are salvaged from a discarded floral arrangement and the flowers are paper purchased ready made. The black accents are acrylic paint. The wings were store bought also, with lots of added fabric paint embellishment by me. The head wreath is made from floral wire and fabric net trimmings finished with more paper flowers, golden leaves and a tiny ready made bee. The pig was covered with several layers of matte varnish for protection.
