Art: The Talisman by Artist Sara Burrier

This merchild was inspired by a word given over at IllustrationFriday.com. The word "talisman" has so many meanings, and as a Christian I found it to be a word full of discovery. The young merchild finds a seashell, and as he holds it up close to his heart it begins to glow and fill the ocean with light. The sea life surrounding him, seahorses, clown fish, schools of silver coins, and angel fish either move towards or away from the light, representing our world. There are those that dwell in the dark, then there are those are are captured by the light and drawn to it.
