This is Liquid Dragonflies.
A very labor intensive painting.
The entire painting was done without sketching...all free hand painting and applying.
All the dragonfly wings have my custom slurry and have a lifted three dimensional appearance along with watercolor staining.
Each dragonfly wing has a different medium. Some have funky glitter, some have metal balls and some have feathers. The dragonfly bodies are painted with an micaceous iron oxide.
Glass beads adorn the golden painted spheres.
The sides (tho not seen in the photo) are painted in satin black.
This is covered in thick acrylic resin.
Its is very glossy and the different mediums I used on the wings will require brute force to remove.
Which I do not recommend.
This painting is ready to hang with gallery wrapped, deep staple free edges.
Enjoy.
