ACEO Theme Week: "Snow Bird"
One of three entries by me for this month's ACEO Group Theme Week art contest (the theme for January being 'Winter Birds'), "Snow Bird" is painted in acrylics and features a common English Sparrow, alone and seeking shelter amongst the grasses from the frigid temps and deep snow....
(Side Note of Randomness: I once rescued a wee, naked English Sparrow chick when it had fallen from the nest. Nursing it along, it actually survived, and even flourished -- though she'd suffered a broken wing in the fall and never did manage to properly fly. As such, she couldn't be re-released in the wild. So, she became my especial pet, turning out to be one of the sweetest, personable and most loving animal companions I have ever had the privilege to have... indeed, just a little sparrow of all things -- who knew...?!)...
