Art: Moss on Sand by Artist Lindi Levison
There is a type of moss that grows here in the Northwest, but I don't know its proper name... It looks like long, thick, very light green "beards" hanging down from the branches of the Oregon Ash trees. Occasionally a bit falls to the ground, as this piece did. As it lies now in the sand, it looks somewhat like the roots of a plant... a very different image from the normally more distant view.
