I love painting trompe l'oeil on top of boxes...this one in particular...Boxes as vessels for holding all manner of treasures....I love the contrast of the man-made with the natural...and the fact that for a moment at least, they are convincing enough that you might think to yourself "what is a moth doing next to a screwdriver?"
