This is a double portrait commission I just finished....the client wanted he and his partner to be painted in a Renaissaince setting....I love doing portraits like this, instead of the usual "deer in the headlights" straight on, plus the clothing and background being from another era was fun and made it an interesting painting instead of just capturing likenesses.
