my latest vintage toy painting.....I am enjoying working with my toy collection to create unusual still life paintings....in this one I surrounded them with luxurious satin and experimented with using an unusual perspective... Using toys as the main focus of my recent still life paintings has really animated them! I love setting up still life with vintage toys that are almost narratives...there is the feeling that there is a real story being told using the toys as symbols....I am trying not to intellectualize them but go with the flow and arrane them intuitively...so far I have been happy with how they have turned out.
