About the Artist

Laura Gemme (Triplett) is a contemporary artist creating works best described as expressionistic.  She has been creating art of one form or another since she can remember. 

Her greatest artistic love is drawing and painting figures, or incorporating those figures into mixed media collages, often with an expressionistic slant.  Most resulting works tend to be colorful, elegant and whimsical.

Artistic influences include Vincent Van Gogh, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso (especially earliest drawings), Claude Monet, Jackson Pollock, Edouard Manet, and Leonardo da Vinci.
