Art: Queen of Insects by Artist Jasmine Ann Becket-Griffith
Queen of Insects - It is insanely detailed, and it took me forever, lol. So many little things are painted in it - and it really is stunning in person. Not to mention, it is tied for the largest painting I have ever offered for sale, measuring 30"x24" acrylic paints on a canvas sheet. It is called "Queen of Insects" and it features a realistically painted fairy queen with monarch butterfly wings. She is sitting in an incredibly ornate golden window - a sort of gothic architectural masterpiece in itself - and around her are a variety of insects. Ladybugs, Goliath Beetles, Walking Sticks, a Luna Moth, ants, all sorts of buggies. And let me not forget - one of my favourite creatures - Acherontia Atropos - the "Death's Head" moth (a real creature, it has what looks like a skull on his back!). There is so much going on in this painting, you'll have to look and see.
