Orange and Brown Shapely Stained Glass Painted Vase

Here's another of my stained glass painted abstract pieces. This one has a bulbous shape on the bottom, narrowing in the center and flaring out again at the top. I created the abstract design to give it some pizazz.

The colors are quite elegant and classy due to the more sophisticated pallette I used here. (I normally use much brighter colors in these glass pieces).

The colors on this piece are a denim blue, a deep orange, a chocolate brown and white.

It would look stunning just sitting on a windowsill (with or without flowers) and with the sun's rays shining through all the colors. The colors cast amazingly gorgeous colorful shadows, when the sunlight shines through them!

The colors have a beautiful translucency or iridescence to them and this piece would make a fantastic gift for anyone.

I have signed it on the bottom.

I show several photos here from differing angles, since it looks quite different depending on which angle you view it from. I also include a closeup for detail of texture and color.

The colors are even more striking and intense in person than on the computer. There is texture as well in areas of the glass.

Although I have listed this functional piece of art glass as a "vase", it can be used to store any DRY items, not just flowers. *(In fact, I filled this piece with cotton balls and put it in the bathroom for cosmetic effect; I'm sure you can come up with a million and one uses for it, yourself!) BUT...

PLEASE NOTE: that this piece is NOT dishwasher safe, so please don't try it. It can be used to store dry goods, but the outside (where the paint is) shouldn't get wet.
