Erupting into the Fog

Art: Erupting into the Fog by Artist Diane G. Casey

Erupting into the Fog

This large piece measures 18x27x.75" and is my abstract depiction of a volcano erupting with exceptional force into the surrounding environment.

You can see all the simmering incandescent molten lava bubbling up to the surface, and the pale gray ash cloud rising above as well as the resulting debris flying in all directions.

The debris that is depicted here by elongated black drips (signifying movement), is actually called: "Tephra". Tephra is a generic term for anything that is thrown out of a volcano (as opposed to things like lava which flow out on the ground).

Although the upper portion of the painting may look white, it is actually a blend of very light gray and silver (hence the "fog").

The sides are painted black so there's no need for expensive framing.

PLEASE NOTE: Scale is approximate in photo with the furniture, please check the actual dimensions listed for precise measurements.
