This beautiful original fantasy blue bird ACEO is created on a standard 2.5 X 3.5 trading card sized matting (tripled) using acrylic and sealing with a light clear acrylic gloss.
Painting small wild birds is one of my favorite subjects to paint and I very much enjoyed creating this one! I decided to depict this blue bird in an unsual fashion to add "fantasy" feel to the piece....a dream like vision. In real life blue birds aren't even entirely blue but when I created this piece from a picture of a "standard" blue bird, this is how I saw her.
This piece sold to a private collector in Greece.
