procession with ball

Art: procession with ball by Artist C. k. Agathocleous
6"x12"

oil on canvas panel

Lines are fun. They are defined and comfortable. The lines I left on my last piece bother me.

When edges are formed by juxtaposing colors. rather than by drawing lines, it gives the mind a chance to play with interpretation. Colors of different hue but similar values can run together and create a form or be separated to create two other forms. It gives the eye more places to go and the mind more options for processing. I think it makes a painting more interesting and more dynamic.
