Ever Present Resident

Art: Ever Present Resident by Artist Christine Wasankari

This beautiful black slug is 5 inches long. Yep, and this is but one type in these forests. And they get just about as big as the trees...relatively speaking.

It crawls along on a variety of liverworts, peat moss, haircap mosses, crane moss, fan moss...the list is large.

Be sure to look in my Northwest Rainforests Portfolio for more images of the splendor that is the Coastal Pacific Northwest... This is where I live!
