Mr. Codswallup the flying frog doesn’t mean to be rude. Whenever anyone asks him a question or tries to converse with him, all he can say is “Codswallup! Codswallup!” Many humans take offense that their opinions should be subjects of such apparent disbelief, but the faeries know better. To the faeries, Mr. Codswallup is the most enchanting of fellows, dressed in his jaunty little crown and rainbow-colored wings! They don’t mind his lack of polished speech, for he treats them royally just the same.
