I was able to finish this last piece for 2017, I wanted to finish the year on a fun note and do something I haven't done before. First let me say that I don't support hunting large game animals for fun, having said that, no animal was hurt in the creation of this piece. I thought it would be a fun piece for someone's 1/12th scale cabin or lodge, especially over a fireplace mantle for instance. I first carefully sculpted him in polymer clay giving his antlers and ears extra support, in fact, after curing him, I used an entire tube of crazy glue to size his antlers. I painted him in detail with acrylics then applied bamboo fiber and finished by applying hand cut alpaca flocking to his face and antlers. His eyes are obsidian giving him a realistic appearance. I'm including some mounting putty, you may have a preferred way to mount him but I couldn't come up with a better way to mount him flush to a wall. I will email the new owner an original digitally signed and dated certificate of authenticity that may be verified through the ebsq site. This would make a great addition to your original 1/12th scale cabin or lodge collection!
