I love going to Lake George and seeing all of the boats, being on the lake...this piece was painted in the beginning of the season on a gorgeous day. It was a bit nippy but the sun was high in the sky and its warmth radiated onto me as I painted. The cloud formations were breathtaking and I quickly set them onto the canvas in extremely thick paint, going back in afterwards to put the sailboat in on the water.
