As you may have gathered from the the theme, chairs are the subject of this week's Art of the Day. It may not seem like a chair would be a popular subject for an artist to choose, but chairs seem to have personalities and each one tells it's own story.

Art: Grandma's Chair by Artist Amy J Hipple

This is the only surviving chair from my Grandmother's set of 1950s lawn furniture. I liked the way the multiple coats of paint were making their way to the surface at different rates, leaving a multi-color design.
