This week's theme: Musical Instruments

This is a hard theme to describe because it's so basic. Musical instruments are so familiar. We all know what they are and what they do - it's too simple. But if you start to think about musical instruments and what place they have in our cultures and our creativity, why we are compelled to play the to the instruments we choose to play or why our species even created musical instruments at all, you realize it's really not simple at all. And that it's still a difficult theme to describe.
