This week's theme: Mermaids

"A mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including the Near East, Europe, Africa and Asia." - Wikipedia. That sounds pretty thorough, but it fails to mention just how compelling we find mermaids. For an uncountable number of years mermaids have captured our imaginations. We are endlessly fascinated by the half human, half fish that lives in the depths of the ocean.
