The art of taking extreme close up pictures of subjects to bring enhancement of details and textures. Often rendering an object in such tight focus the viewer begins to question what exactly he/she is seeing.

My sister and husband thinks this macro of a lobster tail looks like a totem pole image. My family just had our annual surf and turf dinner and I noticed the patterns on the lobster's shell and was drawn to them. Taken with my Sony F828.
