The art of taking extreme close up pictures of subjects to bring enhancement of details and textures. Often rendering an object in such tight focus the viewer begins to question what exactly he/she is seeing.

Art: Big Pink Peony by Artist Colleen Brown

This gorgeous pink peony grows in my neighbours yard and each year I look forward to seeing what beautiful blooms it will produce. It really is a vivid pink and just glows with the sunlight beaming through. I have been wanting to paint this for some time and hope to get to it yet this year.
