Back in August, a few of our doll artists proposed a Halloween doll art challenge to the members of our forums. This week features the fruits of their labors. Happy Halloween from EBSQ. And remember--don't turn your back on your dollies!
This wee, folksy, feline witch, chock full of pluck and character, stands tall and erect (at 6 inches) in a vibrant Halloween dress, with her hat tucked securely under her arm....
The figure was sculpted using Celluclay paper pulp for the head, and strip papier mache for the body. For internal armature (strength and rigidity) I utilized a small, broken plastic toy found around the house (note that it is always a personal goal, whenever possible, to try to incorporate or repurpose useless plastic objects that might otherwise find their way into our nation's landfills).....
For further information and details regarding how this particular project was conceptualized and completed, I invite you to visit my to visit this entry of my artist's journal
