A Cosmos and One Bee

- by MARY ANNE Z. O'SULLIVAN

This week's theme: Flower Of The Month

It's that time of year when we are being made aware, that yes, spring will be arriving again. Because for most of us it can't arrive too soon, this week's Art Of The Day selections are from some of the past EBSQ Flower Of The Month shows.

The current FOTM is the Cylcamen. If you would like to see the entries in, or perhaps enter, this or any of the other EBSQ shows for March, please visit the EBSQ Shows page. A list of all the upcoming shows with short descriptions can be found here as well.

Art: A Cosmos and One Bee by Artist MARY ANNE Z. O'SULLIVAN
I love to watch bees, always have. When very little I used to try to pet them and got stung sometimes, depending on the type of bee. This one was too busy to notice me taking it's photo in my garden. Cosmos have the lovely lacy foliage too. I plant them in front of anything I want to hide!

I noticed this year when they showed the cherry blossoms in Washington DC there were no bees in them. I saw them on Martha Stewart's show, The View, and some news shows. Different times of day and all but not one bee.

I don't use pesticides so the bees are welcome here...:-)

Took this with my second-hand Olympus, Camedia C-2500L, 2.5 mp, digital
