This week's theme: Animal and Wildlife Art
This week, in conjunction with August's Featured Gallery, Art Of The Day looks at Animal and Wildlife art.
This work was inspired by the cave horses at Lascaux and Pont'D'Arc. Gold and copper leafs gleam through the layers under thin glazes of rich hand-made oil pigments. This was inspired by drawings that were done 30,000 years ago.
