
It started by making one of the signs as a gift. But then I thought well why not do all 12! It was a long project and now it takes 4 hours to produce each print. Each sign is a on a 4"x4" zinc plate. The signs themselves are deep etched. Each plate is then inked with one colour for the intaglio etch and then a second colour is rolled onto the surface of the plate as if it were a relief print.
The colours have been chosen to correspond with those associated with each sign.
I will be limiting the original prints to only 10 as they are so time consuming. I will soon be producing a digital version derived from these etchings.
