Art: Winter Cattails - oil painting by Artist Harlan

This is a painting of my pond and the hill beyond it. It looks nothing like this today. All those small trees are forty or more feet high. We built a dock on the far side of the pond and a pagoda half way up the hillside. There aren't even any cattails in my pond any more. They started growing in one year and were gone two years later. Things change! I keep this painting as a reminder of how things here have changed over time.
