We all have them. They lurk in cabinets. They lean against walls behind completed art. Some are in attics, under furniture or put wherever we can find a spot. They are the works of art that were begun but never completed. Those languishing bits of creation that are, and may forever be, a "work in progress."
"WIP: Unfinished Art" is for art work that was begun, but for one reason or another, was never completed. It doesn't matter what kind of media it is or how large or small it is. As long as it has been reproaching you for abandoning it for 6 months or more, it's eligible for this show. Also, the work needs to be noticably unfinished to the layman's eyes, not just yours.
Please include in your statement when you began your piece and your "official" excuse as to why it's unfinished. As always, please include information on media, technique, etc. This artist’s statement is required, so please don’t leave it out. As texture or other small elements may be pivotal to your piece, please include any necessary detail shots. All points of the prospectus should be met. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to edu@ebsqart.com.
