I designed this vase to go with the American Indian theme in our master bedroom. It displayed peacock feathers until our toddler and the kittens played with them. The vase is paper mache with a top coat of spackling compound and multiple layers of latex paint. The stand is wireframe with paper mache and enamel paint. The accents are jute and beads. I started experimenting with paper mache and paper making as a way to recycle waste computer paper.
