Most of us have known as least one person afflicted by breast cancer and the traumatic effect is has on them. The color pink a color in the spectrum which seems to lift one's spirit and have a soothing affect. It also the color of the symbolic ribbon worn by supporters of the Susan Komen Foundation for the Cure, and is the appropriate choice for the theme in this month's show.

The pink dogwood is an amazing tree in Spring. It's blaze of color can range from soft to dark pink depending upon the soii. This digital photo was minimally enhanced to render painterly effects, but it captures the essence of the dogwood in all its glory.
