"Saint Catherine"- St. Catherine of Alexandria. A classic iconic image of the Saint, shown with the traditional "St. Catherine's wheel" (an instrument of her martyrdom). The colours in this piece are gorgeous, and her crown was done in gold leaf- similar to those in medieval and renaissance art. I love how you can see the sky up through the gothic "window" arches at the top!
